Welcome, come in and make yourself comfortable on the couch, or grab some cushions and a pillow and flop down on the floor. Crank up that TV and lets go back to every kids favorite day...Saturday! Its 6am on Saturday morning...doesn't matter which one, And doesn't matter which town across the country, you knew where almost every kid would be..sitting in front of the tube eagerly awaiting the opening to some of our favorite cartoons.

Who can forget the classics such as Bugs Bunny and friends, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Mighty Mouse, Scooby Doo to name a few. Then we had those based off some of our favorite weekday shows. There was Mork and Mindy, Laverne and Shirley, The Fonz even had his own show. Of course you had your action heroes like The A-Team's, Mr T, Sylvester Stallone's Rambo, and Chuck Norris. And who could forget the animated adventures of everyones favorite cousins, The Dukes of Hazzard? Daisy never looked so good to our pre adolescent eyes.

Then there were the super heroes, The Super Friends featured just about everyone you could imagine. From Aquaman to Superman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Batman and Robin, Wonder Woman and what about those infamous Wonder Twins? Through numerous other incarnations they added more cast members but eventually got cancelled.

The Videoland Gang

Zelda, Link and Captain N
The 90's saw such greats as Captain N the Game Master from Nintendo featuring a kid that gets zapped into the magical Videoland where he meets Princess Lana and the heroes from our favorite games. One particular highlight are the episodes featuring Link and Zelda from The Legend of Zelda.

Jem
There were very few cartoon shows for the young women in the audience. That was until we were introduced to Jem. Based off of a doll line, Jem and the Holograms had an 80's rock image to it and the main character, aside from being a female, also was a successful businesswoman. a role model for young girls.
There were many other cartoons that we loved and eagerly awaited every weekend. This page is here to help bring back that little sense of excitement and nostalgia of our childhood. If you have any favorites feel free to comment and I will research into them to see if we can find information on these wonderful bits of animation history. Well, until next time remember to stock up on the cereal, do your homework and finish your chores or you won't be able to catch all the great shows....oh yea, I forgot...I'm not 12 anymore.
